OUR PROGRAM Growing Roots offers play-based, child-led nature immersion programs for children of all ages. Serving Cochrane and the surrounding area since 2017, our dedicated team of educators will help your kids connect with themselves, the world around them, and each other in meaningful ways while having the best time playing and exploring outside in nature. Children will deepen their connection with nature, problem-solve, and build age-appropriate social skills through discovery, healthy risk-taking, and messy fun.
Located on the north-east edge of the Town of Cochrane, and only a short drive from Calgary, Bearspaw and Springbank, our unique location gives us access to forests, meadows and valley views to discover and play in. When the days are really frosty or windy, we have access to a warming tent to get out of the elements.

LAND ACKNOWLEDGMENT
Growing Roots operates in Southern Alberta on the traditional territories of the Stony Nakoda peoples, which includes the Chiniki, Goodstony, and Bearspaw bands, along with the Blackfoot Confederacy comprising the Siksika, Piikani, and Tsuut’ina nations, recognized by Treaty #7, and the Métis of region 3. We extend our deepest respect and gratitude to the original inhabitants of this land, who have maintained a sacred relationship with this place since time immemorial as the traditional caretakers of the earth, wind, and waters – we humbly walk in your footsteps.
